Business Development Manager
Southend on Sea
£33 - £35k basic, plus uncapped commissions and benefits
One to One Personnel is delighted to partner with a leading Design and Manufacturing company in their search for a talented Business Development Manager. This on-site role is based at their Southend-on-Sea office, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to their growth and success.
You must have proven experience in business development and sales, hold strong negotiation and communication skills, a strategic thinker with problem solving abilities along with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. A Technical understanding of fibre optics is a plus but not essential.
The Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, developing growth strategies and negotiating contracts. They will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful implementation of projects and achieve sales targets.
Duties
*Being the primary contact to deal with external orders and enquiries received, by phone and web including logging enquiries, updating, amending, managing entries to reflect current status.
*Providing quotes
*Process orders received
*Liaise with operations and logistics to ensure all orders are delivered on schedule
*Maintain the customer relationships ensure that the product/services offered are maximised to existing customers and that cross selling is attempted
*Achieve agreed targets for warm calling from inbound/ sourced leads in order to increase revenue
*Supporting the Sales Team and being proactive in driving sales forward
Personal Skills
*Proven experience in business development, sales, or related field
*Strong negotiation and communication skills
*Ability to build and maintain client relationships
*Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
*Understanding of technical aspects of fibre optic products is a plus but not essential
*Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities/workloads
*Minimum 3 years sales experience
*Teamwork and collaboration
*Good IT Skills
The package
*This is a full time, perm role based in Southend on Sea
*Hours are Monday to Friday 8.15am - 4.45pm
*Salary £33 - £35K plus uncapped commission
*Free onsite parking
