Are you a mechanically-minded innovator ready to make your mark in the engineering world? My client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic team dedicated to designing, improving, and building innovative systems that serve industries across the UK expand into the EU Market.
This isn’t your average engineering role. Here, you’ll dive into a variety of projects, from enhancing existing products to creating brand-new designs that meet safety standards and optimise efficiency-all while collaborating with a team that thrives on curiosity and ingenuity.
Your Mission
*Be the go-to guru: Support teams across the business with your technical expertise and fresh ideas.
*Shape the future: Improve product designs, explore manufacturing innovations, and optimise processes to deliver top-notch quality and cost savings.
*Bring ideas to life: Develop 2D layouts using AutoCAD, create CAD drawings, and draft user-friendly manuals and instructions.
*Master the details: Help ensure product compliance, maintain accurate technical documentation, and collaborate with the sales team to deliver customer-specific solutions.
*Dig into the data: Analyse prototype tests, document your findings, and refine your designs to perfection.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
*A knack for all things mechanical, with a solid understanding of CAD software (think AutoCAD or SolidWorks).
*Proficiency with IT systems and Microsoft Office.
*An eye for detail and a mind for problem-solving.
*Engineering know-how-whether through a degree, HND, or practical experience.
*A driver’s license and a willingness to travel occasionally to meet customers or visit suppliers.
Bonus Points for:
*Hands-on experience in operational, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
*Familiarity with ERP systems, Bills of Materials, or product costing methods.
