Job Description:
Futures recruitment are working with an innovative and growing manufacturing business with a strong presence in both UK and Europe. To support their continued growth, we are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Logistics Coordinator to manage international deliveries and ensure smooth, efficient, and timely shipments. The successful senior logistics coordinator with be responsible for coordinating all aspects of international shipping, managing documentation, and working closely with new and existing suppliers.
Logistics Coordinator Responsibilities:
Coordinate and oversee international shipments from order processing to final delivery, ensuring on-time fulfilment.
Prepare and manage all necessary shipping and export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
Monitor shipments in transit, proactively addressing any delays or issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and trade agreements.
Monitor logistics KPIs to identify areas for improvement and report on key metrics.
Support the Logistics Manager with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Key Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, ideally focusing on international shipments.
Strong understanding of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and international shipping documentation.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficient in logistics software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, or similar).
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
