Finance Assistant *Contract: Temporary, Full-Time
*Salary: £15-19 per hour including holiday pay
*Location: Derby
A college in Derby is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. The role involves 36 hours per week, with 3 days based in Ilkeston and 2 days working from home. This position is ideal for someone with a background in finance, particularly with purchase ledger experience.
Day-to-day of the role: *Handling and processing financial transactions and records.
*Managing purchase ledgers and ensuring accuracy in financial documents.
*Assisting with budget preparation and financial audits.
*Preparing financial reports and statements as required.
*Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
*Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Level 2 qualification in Maths and English.
*Experience in a finance-related role.
*Proficiency in managing purchase ledgers.
*Ability to work with financial databases and software.
*DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
