Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Class Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational SEN Schools in Morpeth on a full-time and long-term basis. About the Role:
*The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils with a wide range of SEN and allows all pupils to make progress.
*Working with Primary and Secondary aged pupils with a wide range of SEN and challenging behaviour
*Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
*Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner
*Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and earning styles of all pupils.
*Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress
*Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
*Working effectively with Teaching Assistants to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience
About the School:
*The role is based in an inspirational SEN School in Morpeth.
*There is an opportunity for the role to be based across any age group from EYFS to Sixth Form depending on the experience, specialism and preference of the successful Candidate.
*The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
*Pay - Between £130-180 per day
*Hours - 08.30-16.00
*Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2025. Temporary Contract.
*Start Date - ASAP.
*Location - Morpeth
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
*An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
*QTS and Teaching experience in either Primary or Secondary School settings within the UK.
*Experience of short, medium and long-term planning
*Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress
*Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
*Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
*A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work
*Experience of Teaching within the UK
*A genuine passion for Teaching
*Strong organisation and communication skills
