TheAdult Nutrition & Dietetic Service, specifically the Community Nutritional Support Team, is central to this goal. They offer an excellent opportunity for a Specialist Nutritional Support Dietitian to join their dedicated team, working with adults with complex nutritional needs in a variety of community
About the Role
As a Specialist Dietitian, you will work autonomously to:
*Perform therapeutic assessments and deliver tailored treatment programs.
*Manage a diverse caseload with complex physical and psychological conditions.
*Provide expert clinical advice, support, and training for colleagues and junior staff.
*Contribute to the development of evidence-based interventions and innovative service improvements.
*Participate in research, audits, and quality governance activities to enhance service delivery.
You will be a vital member of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring a coordinated approach to patient care, and have opportunities to lead within neuro-rehabilitation dietetics as required.
About You
They are looking for a motivated and compassionate professional with:
*Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics and HCPC registration. Evidence of postgraduate training in nutritional support is essential.
*Experience: A broad range of clinical expertise, including managing complex caseloads, problem-solving, and effective multidisciplinary teamwork. Previous community work and supervisory experience are advantageous.
*Skills: Advanced reasoning, excellent communication, and strong organizational abilities. You should be adept at managing emotional and distressing situations and working effectively under pressure.
*Knowledge: In-depth understanding of relevant conditions, NHS developments, and evidence-based practice.
Who are NHS Professionals?
If a hospital cannot supply staff on a ward or area, due to increased demand, sickness, or common staff shortages, they need to call upon Bank staff. NHS Professionals works with Trusts to develop a ’Bank’ of highly skilled workers who want to work flexibly with the NHS.
