Job Description:
Reed Accountancy are seeking an immediately available Accounts Assistant, to join our industry leading client’s expanding team on a Permanent basis. This role sits within a friendly, high performing team and training can be provided to bring you up to speed if required. A good understanding of Excel packages is essential to be able to hit the ground running.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, presenting and challenging findings to the management team.
*Work closely with senior management and directors to help drive the future of the company.
*Manage a variety of financial matters arising within the business.
*Collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial processes.
*Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
*Analyse financial data to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
*Manage cash flow, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Handle postings of journals, accruals, pre-payments, and intercompany transactions.
*Take responsibility for VAT & HMRC submissions for the Group companies.
*Gain firsthand experience with CIS and reverse VAT.
*Manage and support the accounts payable and receivable processes.
*Supervise credit control and undertake debt chasing when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
*Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
*Advanced skills in spreadsheets
