Job Description:
Software and Data Automation Engineer
Location: Sittingbourne
Graduate or skilled level
We are seeking a graduate or skilled Software and Data Automation Engineer to enhance the design, automation, and technical support of conveyor systems. This role involves developing CAD models, programming automation tools, and managing technical documentation while supporting control system commissioning and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
*Program configurators to automate CAD drawings, BOMs, and technical data.
*Develop and improve automation projects, including robotics and vision systems.
*Commission control systems, including PLCs, drives, and safety circuits.
*Manage technical documentation and ensure compliance with CE and UKCA standards.
*Support production machine breakdowns, upgrades, and automation processes.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and budgets.
Qualifications:
*Degree/HNC in Engineering or equivalent experience.
*Proficient in 3D CAD and Autodesk Vault.
*Knowledge of automation, robotics, and PLC programming.
*Experience with iLogic and vision inspection systems.
Skills:
*Problem-solving, attention to detail, and organisational abilities.
*Effective communication and teamwork.
*High PC literacy and technical reporting expertise.
