Job Description:
Quality Control Team Leader *Location: Southampton
*Job Type: Full-time - Permanent
*Salary: c£27,000 - £35,000
my client are looking for someone to join them as a Quality Control Team Leader. This role is pivotal in maintaining manufacturing schedules, improving efficiencies, and ensuring all products meet our rigorous quality standards. You will lead the Quality Control team, focusing on optimizing production flow and eliminating waste, in line with our commitment to quality, competitive pricing, and fast lead times.
Day-to-day of the role: *Manage return requests within the Quality Control team, ensuring detailed reports on errors or resale viability.
*Oversee change note requests, ensuring all changes affecting product quality are effectively managed.
*Conduct point inspections within manufacturing builds to strive for a first-time pass rate.
*Provide support and technical advice to production operatives regarding quality concerns.
*Ensure consistency and timeliness in product labeling, QC packs, QCS documents, and AHU plaques.
*Effectively manage non-conformities and communicate repeat issues back to relevant departments to prevent recurrence.
*Maintain up-to-date production statuses using the Quality Control work center, including the use of a traffic light system.
*Ensure all team members have clear daily targets and expectations, managing the Quality Control team’s activities through the Quality Control work center.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience in a quality control leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
*Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control systems.
*Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
*Ability to communicate effectively with various departments to ensure data accuracy.
*Commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.
*Flexibility to work overtime as needed to support the department.
