One of our client schools, a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Enfield, is seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage young minds in a supportive and rewarding environment.
Position Details:
*Role: Art Teacher
*Location: Enfield
*Setting: Specialist SEMH School
*Start Date: ASAP
*Contract Type: Agency (long-term, potential for permanent placement)
Responsibilities:
*Deliver creative and engaging art lessons tailored to students with SEMH needs.
*Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional and academic growth.
*Work collaboratively with the wider school team to support individual student needs.
*Use art as a therapeutic medium to help students express themselves and develop resilience.
*Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
Requirements:
*Proven experience teaching art, ideally within an SEN or SEMH setting.
*Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to engage students effectively.
*Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
*A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential.
