Role Responsibilities *Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
*Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
*Supporting clients with VAT returns and bookkeeping tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
*Using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records
*Liaising with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide advice
*Assisting with management accounts and forecasting for clients
*Supporting audit teams as required, contributing to the planning and execution of audit assignments
*Reviewing and mentoring the work of junior team members, helping them develop their skills

Candidate Requirements *AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA/ACA or equivalent
*At least 1-2 years of experience in an accountancy practice
*Strong knowledge of accounting principles and an understanding of tax regulations
*Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks, as well as Microsoft Excel
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
*A proactive attitude and a keen willingness to learn and develop
