1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Role

If so, Academics are currently recruiting for someone to work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant with a pupil in a Newport Primary School starting in January 2025.
Key responsibilities:
*Providing 1:1 support specially tailored to a KS1 pupil with ALN
*Assisting the pupil with classroom activities including basic numeracy and literacy tasks
*Implementing strategies to support the pupils academic development
*Building a positive relationship with the pupil
*Communicate effectively with the pupil’s teacher and parents to monitor and track progress.

Requirements:
*Experience in a SEN setting (essential)
*Experience working 1:1 with ALN pupils (desirable)
*Enhanced DBS (We can assist with the process)
*Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) - we are here to help with the process.
*Two professional and recent references.
