Location / Hours

Located in Newbury, this position offers a consistent day shift with a base of 40 hours per week, ensuring a stable and predictable schedule:

*Days: Monday to Thursday
*Hours: 7pm until 6am
Gear Cutter Responsibilities

As a Gear Cutter, your responsibilities will include:

*Setting and operating Gear Cutting / Hobbing machines.
*Booking on and off work orders.
*Self-inspecting components to ensure quality standards.
*Cleaning and deburring components for precision and presentation.


Gear Cutter Requirements

To excel in this role, you should have:

*Several years setting and operating conventional and CNC Gear Cutting machines.
*Ideally Hands-on experience with Pfauter / Gleason machines featuring Bosch/Siemens controls.
*Familiarity with Klingelberg bevel cutters and gear checkers (ideal but not essential).
*Proficiency in self-inspection and using measuring tools to ensure components meet tight tolerances.
