Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant - November Start
Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-time
A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school, starting in November/asap. This full-time position will see you working closely with Year 4 students, providing tailored support to children with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they have the best possible learning experience.
SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities: *Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, helping them engage with the curriculum and reach their full potential.
*Assist the class teacher in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students.
*Implement personalised education plans (IEPs) and strategies in collaboration with the SENCo and class teacher.
*Encourage social, emotional, and behavioural development through supportive and nurturing interactions.
*Promote independence and inclusion in both classroom activities and daily school life.
*Adapt resources and materials to meet the individual needs of SEN pupils.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements: *Previous experience working with special needs children in a primary school setting.
*A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach, with a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
*An understanding of different SEN conditions, such as autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties, is highly desirable.
