Job Description:
Join the team at Potters Bar Clinic School as a Teaching Assistant and be part of supporting the delivery of education to resident for young people aged 13–18. 
As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide on-hand support to teachers as they design and deliver classroom lessons. This will see you assist in the preparation for these lessons, ensuring the classroom has all materials required and supporting pupils to engage in the syllabus. 
You’ll be able to think creatively and build a strong rapport with the cohort, encouraging engagement and supporting their learning, behaviour and social skills progression.

You will be working 32 hours per week.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
*Education-related qualifications 
*Previous experience of working with children in a school setting.
*Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
*Hobbies/interests/skills that contribute to a wide curriculum offering
*Have experience of working with young people with SEMH needs and/or SEN
*Be able to identify and implement interventions to ensure students engage in lessons and make progress
*Be resilient, flexible, and adaptable in approach in order to meet the needs of each individual
*Be able to empathise and engage easily with young people, offering appropriate and professional support at all times

Location: 190 Barnet Road, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, EN6 2SE 
Join the team at Potters Bar Clinic providing care for young people and adults with acute mental health needs and personality disorders in an established 24-hour care environment. The CAMHS Tier 4 Low Secure services are for young people aged 13–18. 
Potters Bar Clinic is located in a residential area, only one minute drive from the M25 and a short bus ride from Potters Bar Train Station – with a bus stop right outside, making it an easy commute for most.
