Job Description:
SANZA Teaching Agency is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a nurturing and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Southwark. This role is integral to supporting children in Key Stage 2 particularly those with special educational needs (SEN). If you are passionate about working with SEN children, this position offers the perfect chance to contribute to their positive and engaging start in school.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN in the classroom
*Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
*Support children with a range of SEN, including speech and language delays, autism, and developmental delays.
*Assist in delivering engaging and sensory-focused activities tailored to the children’s needs.
*Foster a nurturing, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
*Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
Requirements:
*Previous experience working with SEN children, ideally within a primary or SEN school setting.
*Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
*Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
*Relevant qualifications (such as NVQ/CACHE Level 2 in Childcare or SEN) are desirable but not essential.
