Head of Year Vacancy - Secondary School in Blackley
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head of Year to join our secondary school in Blackley. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the pastoral care and academic progress of our students.
*Position: Head of Year
*Location: Blackley
*Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
*Salary: Up to £120 per day
*Contract: Ongoing with the potential for permanent placement for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage the year group to ensure high standards of pastoral care and student wellbeing
*Support and mentor students through academic, personal, and social development
*Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and senior leadership to monitor and improve student progress
*Organize year group activities and manage any behavioral concerns
*Help implement school policies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
*Previous experience working in a leadership role within a secondary school (Head of Year experience is desirable)
*Strong understanding of student welfare and the challenges students face
*Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
*Ability to motivate and inspire students and staff alike
