About the Role
As a Family Liaison Officer, you will be a vital link between the school and its families, working to enhance student well-being, attendance, and achievement by fostering strong, supportive relationships.
Your key responsibilities will include:
*Engaging with parents and carers to support their child’s learning and well-being.
*Working closely with school staff to identify and address barriers to learning.
*Providing guidance and signposting families to appropriate services and resources.
*Promoting regular attendance and addressing any attendance-related issues.
*Supporting vulnerable families to ensure children can thrive both academically and emotionally.
*Contributing to the development and implementation of school initiatives designed to enhance family engagement.
This full-time role offers the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of students and their families, with immediate availability.
About You
To be considered for this position, you must:
*Have experience working in schools or the education sector, ideally in a pastoral, support, or family liaison role.
*Be confident in handling sensitive situations and building trust with families from diverse backgrounds.
*Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
*Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
*Hold a valid DBS check on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
