Job Description:
Location: The Cedars, 6 Russell Rd, Clacton-on-Sea CO15 6BE
Rate Of Pay: £11.50 per hour
Shift Patterns: 36 Hours permanent
Information about the Role:
Working as a Support worker at The Cedars House your duties will include the following:
*Using the training provided, aid the people we support through all aspect of life including mealtimes, bathing and day to day activities.
*By getting to know the people we support you will be able to help write their care plans and understand when risk assessments may be needed.
*Be there to assist the people we support in daily activities, social interactions, and outings either in a group setting or on a 121 basis.
*Assist the people we support with their health needs as required, which may include administering medication and attending medical appointments.
*Keep daily paperwork up to date to ensure we have captured everything that has happened in the day
Information about the Service:
The Cedars is a small CQC registered residential care home in Clacton-on-Sea for up to twelve people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and, sometimes, early onset dementia. With the seafront only 200 yards away, we offer a warm, homely and caring environment to support people with their day-to-day living in safety and comfort. The building has recently been refurbished and it feels luxurious and stylish. Many of the residents who live at The Cedars are referred to us due to their complex needs. We work closely with our Local Authority and placements team to provide a step-down pathway from hospital or to take care of people who can no longer live safely at home with our provision of supported living.
Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Support worker:
· Ideally 6 months experience and needs to be medication trained.

· Able handle sometimes challenging situations
· Fun, energetic and able to build relationships with many different people
