Job Title: Construction Tutor (Trainee or Qualified)

Location: Hemel Hempstead - Centre based

Salary: up to £34,000 (Depending on skills and experience)

Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Pension + more

Type: Full Time, Permanent 

Duties: *Teach/assess learners working towards vocational qualifications within Construction, within a classroom based environment. 
*Deliver Functional Skills English and Maths up to Level 2.
*Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
*Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills knowledge and behaviours
*Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
*Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
Criteria: *Must hold solid, occupational experience within the Construction industry.
*Experience of providing on-the-job training within the workplace to Apprentices/colleagues.
*Hold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised Teaching or Assessing qualification.
*Must hold own Level 3 qualification within a Construction related discipline.
*Must hold own GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above / Functional Skills equivalents.
*Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
*Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
*Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
*Must be flexible with travel.
