SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

A supportive and welcoming school in Newport is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex learning and behavioural needs. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will make a vital difference in the progress and academic development of pupils with ALN whilst supporting them in their social and emotional development.
Key responsibilities
*Provide 1:1 support to children struggling with ALN and help students understand instructions.
*Assist in implementing individual learning and support plans
*Work alongside the classroom teacher and SEN team to create a positive working environment
*Prepare, provide and deliver suitable learning materials.

Requirements:
*Experience in a SEN setting (essential)
*Experience working 1:1 with ALN pupils (desirable)
*Enhanced DBS (We can assist with the process)
*Registration with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) - we are here to help with the process.
*Two professional and recent references.
