Our client, a leading and well-established firm of chartered accountants and business advisors, is seeking an ambitious Audit Assistant Manager to join their dynamic Corporate team in Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse client portfolio, including owner-managed businesses, large corporates, and listed companies, providing audit, accounts preparation, and tax computation services.
About the Role
As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will:
*Plan and lead audit engagements, managing onsite teams (70% of your time).
*Prepare accounts and draft tax computations (30% of your time).
*Review team members’ work, providing constructive feedback and quality assurance.
*Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and build relationships.
*Manage assignment time and budgets to ensure efficiency.
*Mentor and coach junior team members, helping them to grow in their roles.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and driven professional who is eager to grow and contribute to the team. You should have:
*Experience conducting statutory audits in an accountancy practice
*Part or fully qualified ACA or ACCA
*Knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
*Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage relationships.
*Familiarity with audit software (e.g., Caseware) and Microsoft Office.
