Job Description:
What you will do
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the day-to-day quantity surveying and commercial aspects of multiple projects, from contract award through to completion. You will provide commercial and contractual advice to the Sales and Projects teams, ensuring successful financial outcomes while protecting the company from commercial risks. Reporting directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, this role will play a key part in driving the growth strategy and ensuring accountability for major projects within your area.

How you will do it
In this role, you’ll manage ambiguity effectively, make informed decisions, and lead change within a commercial environment. You will manage multiple priorities due to your strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills. Driven by continuous learning, you’ll collaborate internally and externally to implement best practices.
A key focus will be contract and account management across a range of projects. You’ll ensure that all critical path steps related to project variations and final accounts are well-controlled, leading to profitable negotiations. If needed, you will escalate and implement corrective actions to bring projects back in line with budget, contracts, or timelines. You’ll manage change processes, identify claim opportunities, and ensure contracts are correctly administered.
What we look for
*Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor supporting projects between £100k and £5m
*Experience in the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) environment
*Strong commercial and financial risk management
*A successful track record in managing and delivering large commercial projects
*Ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain technical information to non-technical audiences
*Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
