Senior Property Binder Underwriter (International)
Company Overview: A large insurance firm with a diverse portfolio, including property binders. This will focus on a large international property book that is looking to expand into the UK and targeted European markets.
Job Description:
*Managing delegated authority, which constitutes 50% of the income.
*Expanding the book in the UK and Europe, to balance the geographical split of the existing book.
*Overseeing a portfolio that includes property, casualty, and consortiums, with a significant portion in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
*Identifying new opportunities and strategies to write business outside of our current markets, especially in a competitive and soft market environment.
Requirements:
*Proven experience as a Senior Underwriter (or Underwriter), preferably with international exposure.
*Strong understanding of the insurance market dynamics, particularly in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
*Ability to manage and grow a diverse portfolio.
*Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
