Job Description:
*Annual Salary: £48,069
*Location: Leeds
*Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Development Manager with a strong background in land and property development, particularly within major housing, regeneration, or placemaking projects. This role is ideal for a proactive self-starter with extensive experience in managing commercial contracts and negotiations, and a keen ability to lead projects from conception through to completion.
Day-to-day of the role: *Lead and manage land and/or property developments, including commercial negotiations.
*Develop and manage funding agreements and contracts, ensuring they align with project goals and compliance requirements.
*Manage budget and financial monitoring of projects, tracking progress and adjusting plans as necessary to meet objectives.
*Manage risk and ensure compliance with governance and assurance processes.
*Work in partnership with a variety of stakeholders, including those in a political context, to achieve results.
*Utilise extensive experience in business case development to support project viability and success.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience in a similar role.
*Proven experience in leading and managing land and/or property developments.
*Strong skills in commercial contract management and negotiations.
*Experience with legal complexities of site assembly and delivery of capital works.
*Proven contract management and project management skills, with knowledge of various techniques and good practice.
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong partnership relationships.
*Understanding of contractual mechanisms to safeguard public investment is desirable.
