Job Description:
Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be supporting a growing services business, based in Southampton, in their search for a Financial Accountant on a 6 month fixed-term contract basis.
£30-40,000 p/a
Hybrid working
Key Responsibilities include:
*Responsible for designated balance sheet GL reconciliations ensuring timely and accurate GL reconciliations in line with group policies
*Identifying on and resolving outstanding legacy balances across debtors, creditors and bank
*Preparing and posting journals to reflect the correct account balances and remedy historical differences
*Proactively working with Financial Operations and Group Financial Control to resolve issues, aged GL items and variances
*Work with business stakeholders and finance on systems and process improvement initiatives
Key Experience includes:
*Part Qualified Accountant or Studying
*3+ years’ experience of working in finance
*Strong analytical skills coupled with a good business understanding leading to key business insight
*Team player and creative problem solver with a can-do attitude
