Area Sales Representative
Location: East Midlands / Midlands based - Remote - Nottinghamshire Head Office
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: OTE £35,000 - £40,000
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Area Sales Representative to join our clients sales team, focusing on the East Midlands and Midlands region. This role is ideal for someone with a proven sales background in the fenestration industry and a deep understanding of the trade sector.
Day-to-day of the role:
Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients within the Midlands area.
Identify specific targets and plan strategic sales activities.
Generate new leads and follow up on these diligently.
Maintain regular contact with sales prospects and existing accounts.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to achieve quarterly minimum goal visits.
Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, and feedback gathered through field activity to the General Manager.
Collaborate closely with the sales office and estimating department to ensure timely delivery of quotes and follow up on projects through to closure.
Work flexibly between the office, home, and on the road, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Demonstrable competence with IT, including Microsoft Office; training on company-specific software will be provided.
Knowledge of the construction industry, with experience in site work and contract negotiation.
Ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Familiarity with sales promotion techniques.
Professional appearance and a positive company image.
Flexibility to work a varied schedule and willingness for occasional overnight travel.
Adherence to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics.
