Job Description:
Legal Secretary
*Annual Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (DOE)
*Location: Chichester
*Job Type: Full-time, Office Based
An excellent and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to join our highly reputable and well-established private client team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident, proactive, and has proven experience in Private Client Law.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Manage diaries and schedule appointments for the principal.
*Onboard new clients and carry out relevant checks.
*Handle file management tasks including opening, closing, and archiving files.
*Perform audio typing and dictation.
*Produce legal documents such as wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs).
*Undertake general secretarial and administrative duties.
*Answer telephone calls, liaising with clients and third parties.
*Manage financial matters including requesting monies, preparing estate accounts, and completing posting slips for making payments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*A good academic record.
*Excellent typing skills.
*Previous experience within the legal profession, particularly in Private Client Law including wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Administration of Estates, and Probate.
*Computer literacy.
