Our client; a Nursery in a beautiful location in Oxford, has a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years Teaching Assistant. Main duties and responsibilites:
To work in either the baby room, toddler room or pre-school room, providing support to children aged 0-4; to work as part of a team to deliver an ambitious and flexible curriculum, which is driven by the children’s interests and curiosity; to have an excellent knowledge of child development in order to accurately observe and assess children.
Operational responsibilities:
To ensure, through good practice, that the Nursery consistently meets the requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage to a minimum ’good’ standard; to maintain regular staff supervisions; to ensure that all policies and procedures of the Nursery are adhered to.
As a minimum, an NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare is required. The position is subject to two satisfactory employment references and a DBS check. This may also suit a qualified Primary teacher or teaching assistant.
