Job Description:
Are you an experienced PLC Controls Engineer with Siemens and Allen Bradley expertise (Step 7, TIA Portal, Logix5000)?
Rise10 are looking for an experienced PLC Controls Engineer to join a market leading supplier of integrated warehouse automation solutions. Duties of a PLC Controls Engineer :
*Drive technical development of intra-logistics warehouse automation solutions from concept to completion
*Develop PLC code and processes from scratch for warehouse automation systems
*Collaborate closely with in-house electrical design engineers (Eplan/AutoCAD) during the design phase
*Lead implementation and commissioning phases, ensuring successful deployment
*Oversee project progression through final commissioning to client handover
*Conduct on-site commissioning and support at client locations across the UK, with occasional international assignments
Skills and experience required of a PLC Controls Engineer:
*Expertise in conveyor/ASRS systems, barcode integration, and WCS/WMS systems, with familiarity in networks such as AS-i, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
*Skilled in developing PLC code from scratch and leading final commissioning through to handover.
*Strong understanding of electrical schematics, safety circuits, and warehouse design, including material handling equipment, within logistics, warehousing, distribution, or fulfilment sectors.
*Proven ability to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions with excellent communication skills.
*Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated team player with high initiative and a strong customer focus.
