Teaching Assistant (SEND Secondary School)
Location: Liverpool
Contract Type: Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate or January 2024

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a vibrant and supportive SEND Secondary School in Liverpool.
About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), and social, emotional, and mental health challenges (SEMH). Your primary role will be to support students both academically and socially, ensuring they thrive in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: *Provide tailored support to students in both group and 1:1 settings.
*Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities.
*Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere to encourage student engagement.
*Support classroom teachers in managing behaviour and maintaining a productive learning environment.
*Help students develop essential life skills, independence, and confidence.
What We’re Looking For: *Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEND setting.
*A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to working with diverse needs.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*A genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.
*Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
