Face-to-Face Fundraising Area Manager at Sustrans

As a Face-to-Face Fundraising Area Manager, you’ll lead fundraising teams in the Bristol area while also looking to launch and grow teams in other areas within the South West, driving exciting campaigns that directly support our mission to make it easier for everyone to walk, wheel and cycle.
This is a hands-on role, you’ll work alongside your team to raise funds, coach and inspire Fundraisers and Team Leaders, and help expand our vital work in making walking, wheeling and cycling easier and safer for everyone.
Salary & Benefits:
*Salary: £32,145 per year, with the potential to earn £35,000+ OTE through performance-based bonuses.
*Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), with flexible hours available to suit your individual circumstances.
*Leave: 26 days holiday plus bank holidays. We also close for Christmas and you’ll get 2 free days off over the period.
*Please note this is contract with external staffing agency Inspired People on working assignment with Sustrans.
Key Responsibilities:
*Leadership & Coaching: You’ll be at the heart of recruitment, training, and developing Fundraisers and Team Leaders, helping them meet and exceed their targets. You’ll also fundraise alongside them, setting the example of a passionate and results-driven team leader.
*Monitoring & Performance: Track key campaign performance metrics such as volume, sign-ups, Gift Aid, and attrition rates to ensure our fundraising efforts are always at their best. Conduct regular performance reviews, offer coaching, and help your team grow their skills.
*Logistics & Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations, including managing stock levels, rota schedules, and travel arrangements. Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and uphold Sustrans’ values of ethical fundraising and supporter care.
*Travel: Regular travel within the region is required, including occasional overnight stays. At Sustrans, we actively encourage eco-friendly travel - you’ll have access to our Sustrans pool bicycle if needed.
What You’ll Need:
*Experience: A proven track record in face-to-face fundraising and team management, with the ability to motivate and guide your team to success.
*Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills, a strong understanding of ethical fundraising, and the ability to think strategically.
*Knowledge: Familiarity with the Code of Fundraising Practice and the ability to meet deadlines and handle logistics effectively.
