Randstad Education has an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for an experienced and high calibre Deaf Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating and supporting deaf children and ensuring they can access the curriculum and communicate with their teachers and other
children.
It’s a fixed term contract Position, starting as soon as possible.

Requirements
*Proficiency in British Sign Language either as a first language or at Level 6 or above.
*Experience working with deaf children.
*A level 3 award in Education and Training desirable
*Experience in delivering lessons in British Sign Language to adults and children.
*A willingness to attend and lead community events and courses during the evenings is essential.
*Enthusiastic and highly committed with excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
*Plan, organise and manage activities and tasks, which reflect specific curriculum expertise, knowledge and understanding.
*Prepare and deliver deaf awareness sessions across the school to whole classes within the mainstream.
*To be involved in the implementation and evaluation of inclusion of deaf students in the school.
*To provide direct support for all deaf pupils during activities outside the classrooms.
*To apply specialist strategies to meet the needs of each individual learner.
*To continue to develop a range of communication skills and strategies, including skill in using British Sign Language.
*Provide access arrangements in lessons to ensure that the Children’s "normal way of working" is supported.
*Work closely with teachers, offering advice on adapting lessons, materials, and teaching methods.
