Job Description:
I am currently supporting an international manufacturing / logistics company who are looking for a confident Credit Controller to join their dynamic team based just outside of Oldbury. Salary between £28,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience, with flexible working arrangements.
As a Credit Controller you will be responsible for proactively chasing and managing your own allocated portfolio of customers. Working closely with the Transactional Finance Manager and wider finance function. Ensuring that accurate financial reports are maintained, relationships upheld and best practice put into action.
Key responsibilities:
*Actively monitor and maintain the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring accurate invoicing and allocation of payments.
*Perform credit checks and assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers, setting appropriate credit limits and terms.
*Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales and customer service, to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies and to facilitate timely payment collection.
*Proactively chase outstanding payments and reduce overdue debts, escalating unresolved issues to management when necessary.
Key requirements:
*Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Credit Controller.
*Strong understanding of credit control principles, including credit assessment, credit limits, and debt collection techniques.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
*Proficient in using credit control software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
