Job Description:
The Supply Register is delighted to partner with the Wade Deacon Trust, providing exceptional staff to support their schools’ needs. We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term role, working 5 days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in supporting primary-aged pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide tailored one-to-one support for pupils with ASC, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
*Facilitate small group sessions for students requiring additional support, promoting engagement and progress.
*Ensure the safety and well-being of pupils, helping them feel secure in their educational setting.
*Collaborate effectively with the Class Teacher and Teaching Assistants to maintain high standards and a cohesive classroom experience.
*Communicate with the SENDCo and other key staff to implement and review EHCPs, ensuring best practices are followed.
Key Requirements:
*Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within a primary school setting.
*A solid understanding of supporting pupils with ASC and associated needs.
*A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through us).
