First Achieve’s Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Test Fitter to join an international oil and gas company in the Edinburgh region.
What’s on Offer:
*A straight to permanent position.
*A £17.89/hr basic rate.
*A 37.5hr work week.
*Dayshifts
*Shifts consist of: *6:30am to 3pm Mon to Thurs
*6:30am to 12pm Fri
This role will require you to assemble and test subsea drilling equipment, specifically pressure retaining equipment such as valves.
Main Responsibilities:
*Assembling and disassembling, as well as mechanically and pressure testing a range of subsea drill equipment and valves.
*Perform troubleshooting on said equipment, and provide suggestions on remedial work.
*Performing the above tasks, in line with safety, cost and quality goals of the business.
*Be able to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team.
*While the role is dayshift, there may be requirement to work a shift pattern.
Essential skills, experience and knowledge:
The successful candidate must:
*Have 5-10 years’ experience in a repair, maintenance and assembly environment.
*Be able to use Outlook, Word and Excel
*Have 2 years of fabrication experience (preferable)
*Have knowledge of maintenance, welding and pressure testing principles, concepts, theories and practices.
