Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and capable Commercial Manager to join an exceptional group of companies, in a key role. The business provides warehousing and logistics services, both to other group entities and also to third parties, largely in the retail and automotive spaces.
The organisation works for many well-known clients in retail and other sectors, holding large amounts of stock in its warehouses and distributing these items to sites as requested. The Commercial Manager will be a true logistics, commercial professional with the ability to:
*Manage operational budget across all warehousing operations, including logistics
*Provide regular reporting to senior management team relating to operational cost v revenue and gross margin
*Drive efficiency and reduce operational costs by identifying and implementing process improvements, negotiating better deals with suppliers, implementing cost-effective strategies and reducing unnecessary costs / expenses
*Undertake operational data analysis to help develop and implement strategies to improve team productivity, simplify process and reduce costs
*Review revenue forecasting and proactively adjust resource capacity in good time to reflect seasonal peaks & troughs
*Collaborate with the relevant teams to help drive operational efficiency
*Carry out any other reasonable duties as required
