An opportunity to be a Management Accountant for an outsourcing business based in Birmingham. The organisation operates nationally and strives to be a market leader in their industry.
Main Duties:
As a Management Accountant, your main duties include:
*Preparation of monthly management accounts
*Production of weekly sales reports, staff utilisation reports and aged debt reports
*Preparation of weekly and monthly payroll for processing
*Preparation of weekly supplier payments
*Analysis of variances against budgets and forecasts
*Supporting the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
*Ensuring that financial data is timely, accurate, and relevant for decision-making
*Conducting detailed cost analysis
*Monitoring capital expenditures and ensuring they align with budgeted expectations
*Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
*Assisting in the preparation of tax returns, including VAT and corporation tax.
*Ad hoc duties as required
Location / Office / Culture
The role is based in Birmingham, and operates on flexible working patterns. The company operates from a modern office with a strong Finance Team.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
*At least three years’ experience in management accounting or a similar finance role.
*Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
*Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel at an advanced level
*Strong analytical skills
*Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
*Good communication skills
*Strong problem-solving skills and a critical thinking mindset
