I am seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join a welcoming team based in Chelmsford. The well-established firm works across diverse sectors including hospitality, residential, and healthcare, consistently delivering creative, client-focused solutions. With a well-established reputation, they pride themselves on building long-lasting relationships with their clients.
The ideal candidate will have post-qualification experience within a UK-based practice and possess a strong understanding of building regulations. You should bring a wealth of experience in hospitality projects and showcase a vibrant portfolio that highlights your expertise. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp is essential.
Responsibilities, Skills and Experience for the role of Interior Designer:
*A degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
*Post-qualification experience in a UK-based practice
*Proven track record in hospitality design projects
*Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp
*Experience in FF&E design and specification
*Excellent communication and organizational skills
*Design FF&E concepts, source materials, and create compelling presentations and mood boards
*Develop furniture layouts, elevations, and detailed specifications for joinery, electrics, ironmongery, and finishes
*Collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers, and conduct site visits
*Confidently manage projects both independently and within a team
*Local to Chelmsford, or willing to relocate
