Based at their state-of-the-art Cheshire facility, which exclusively supplies premium automotive brands, this role offers a thrilling blend of proactive development and reactive problem-solving. If you thrive in a varied, hands-on environment with opportunities to lead, grow, and make an impact, this role is for you.
Role Overview
As a Quality Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing processes, implementing systems, and ensuring products exceed quality standards, meet safety regulations, and delight customers. This is far from a routine quality auditing role—it’s your chance to shape the future of manufacturing excellence.
Your Key Responsibilities

*Use advanced quality tools to tackle every quality incident, from root cause analysis to containment measures.
*Define rework instructions, oversee their application, and set up quality walls when needed.
*Foster strong relationships with customers through regular visits and collaborative problem-solving.
*Champion 8D methodologies, maintain Customer Quality Fast Response Boards, and lead process FMEAs.
New Product Launches
*Collaborate with teams on PFMEA development and control plans for new products.
*Support poka-yoke (error-proofing) solutions and lead PPAP submissions.
*Train operators and area leaders on new processes, ensuring seamless launches.
*Contribute to manufacturing readiness and define Standard Work procedures with cross-functional teams.
Process Control
*Audit poka-yoke functionality at every shift and ensure rigorous control plan adherence.
*Monitor production scrap reviews and lead process audits.
*Maintain and archive all quality-related documentation.
Continuous Improvement
*Drive the Quality Improvement Roadmap and participate in key working groups.
*Lead preventive action initiatives to eliminate internal and customer issues.
*Support plant training programs and contribute to process improvements like LL and DFQ.
People Leadership
*Oversee daily activities of quality technicians and maintain their training pathways.
*Cultivate a quality-first mindset across the team.
What We’re Looking For
*A degree in Engineering or Science would be desirable
*An analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
*Training or experience in FMEA, MSA, APQP, or PPAP is highly advantageous.
*Proficiency in Excel and other tools; automotive sector experience is a bonus.
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
