Special Needs Teaching Assistant required
Location: Blackley, Manchester
Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Hours: 8.30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday
Salary: £425-525 per week

Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join the team. You will be supporting a Year 1 student with autism, helping them thrive academically and socially in a mainstream classroom setting. Your role will involve providing tailored support, promoting independence, and assisting with personal care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support the individual learning and social development of the student.
*Assist with personal care, ensuring the child feels comfortable and supported.
*Implement strategies outlined in the student’s Education Healthcare Plan.
*Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
*Collaborate with teachers and specialists to adapt activities and lessons.
*Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
*Promote the child’s independence and self-confidence.
Qualifications and Skills:
*Previous experience working with children with autism or special educational needs is essential.
*A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) is preferred.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
*Ability to work as part of a team and also independently when required.
