Job Description:
Financial Accountant | Central London (hybrid working) | £60,000 | Global consumer business | 6 month FTC
Due to an internal secondment, a Financial Accountant is required to work for an internationally renowned luxury brand based in Central London, working 3 days per week in the office on a 6-month FTC. This is an opportunity to gain great industry exposure, working in the global headquarters of an extremely successful brand that has achieved a 40%+ increase in revenues over the past 12 months, with no sign of slowing down.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, taking ownership of the accounting for one of their largest entities. In addition, you will play a key part in working on key projects within the group, including supporting the transition of various entities onto a new ERP system.
Responsibilities include:
*Taking ownership of the annual and monthly accounting for one entity, reporting under IFRS
*Preparation of quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
*Business partnering with the operational teams, providing cost centre owners with reports and analysis every month
*Preparation of variance analysis of monthly cost centre reports
*Liaising with group FP&A function to enable accurate monthly submissions
*Support with key projects including the transition of various entities onto a new ERP system
*Work as a key point of contact for the auditors at year-end
Skill set required:
The successful candidate will be a Qualified ACA/CA Accountant from a Big 4 or Top 10 accountancy firm or ACCA qualified with a financial accounting skill set gained in industry. Previous experience auditing or working for a complex multinational business is preferred, as experience auditing/working in consumer businesses. To succeed in this role, you will be able to build relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders based globally, work to tight deadlines, and be proactive.
