Your new role
As a semi-senior accountant, you will be responsible for taking an active role within the accounts team, reporting to your manager. Day to day duties will see you preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, predominantly limited companies, SMEs and partnerships. You will also be involved with preparing management accounts, VAT returns and forecasts. As this is general practice, you will also get exposure to audit work, assisting with audit assignments and preparing the files to a high standard, taking a lead on the fieldwork stage specifically.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will need previous experience working within an accountancy firm, a minimum of 2 years’ experience is required. You will also need to be fully AAT qualified and part qualified in your professional qualifications, either ACCA or ACA. Finalist or qualified candidates will also be considered. You will need to have prior experience preparing statutory accounts, audit experience is desired but not mandatory.
