Job Description:
GCSE English Lecturer *Contract: Temporary, Full-time
*Salary: £25-£35 per hour including holiday pay
*Location: Nottingham
A college in Nottingham is seeking a GCSE English Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis until the beginning of February. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about English literature and language and has experience in teaching at the GCSE level.
Day-to-day of the role: *Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to GCSE students, ensuring they meet their learning objectives.
*Prepare lesson plans, lecture materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
*Monitor and evaluate students’ progress, providing feedback and additional support where necessary.
*Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning.
*Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance teaching methods and student learning experiences.
*Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Level 3 qualification or equivalent in English.
*Minimum grade C in GCSE Maths and English.
*Must hold a recognised Teaching Qualification.
*Holds an Enhanced DBS or is willing to obtain one.
*Proven experience teaching GCSE English.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to engage and inspire students.
