Sales Manager - Food Ingredients
£65,000 - £75,000 plus car allowance
Remote based - Travel required across England for client meetings
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team in the Food Ingredients sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and managing client relationships to achieve business objectives.
You will have a scientific knowledge to apply to the sector, with a strong networking with food ingredients which you can utlise.
THE ROLE:
*Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals and increase market share in the Food and Beverage sector.
*Lead negotiations with clients and close deals to achieve revenue targets. Ensure contract terms and conditions are met.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
*Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and build relationships within the sector.
*Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth areas. Use insights to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
*Monitor and report on sales performance, including key metrics and KPIs. Provide regular updates to senior management on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts.
Dealing with UK National Accounts including distribution partners. The client is established within the prepacked F&B arena.
THE PERSON:
*Educated to degree level in Science (Chemistry)/Food Technology
*Proven experience within a Sales role within the Food and Beverage sector.
*Strong commercial business acumen
*Proven experience in a commercial/technical role within the F&B industry
*Have strong relationships with food manufacturers
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
*Commercial knowledge of any of the following; starches, flavours, proteins, yeast extracts, antioxidants /anti microbials, culinary blends/functional blend
