Job Title: Network Support Engineer (1st-2nd Line)
Location: Fully Remote- UK
Job Type: 3-Month Contract + chance for extension (Outside IR35)
Rate: £150-£175/day Outside IR35
Interview Process: Video Interviews held remotely
A leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) is seeking a Network Support Engineer (1st-2nd Line) to join their team on an Outside IR35, fully remote contract basis. This opportunity is with a public sector client who is currently undergoing a significant networking re-architecture project, including a large WAN & IP migration.
If you have experience in 1st and 2nd line network support, particularly in public sector environments, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced project setting, this is the perfect role for you.
Network Support Engineer Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 1st and 2nd line network support to a public sector client, addressing issues and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
*Assist with the ongoing WAN & IP migration project, troubleshooting network issues and supporting network re-architecture efforts.
*Manage network incidents, ensuring swift diagnosis and resolution of connectivity issues.
*Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless network performance across WAN/LAN environments.
*Maintain and manage network systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
*Document network issues, resolutions, and processes to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
Network Support Engineer Key Skills Required:
*Proven experience in 1st and 2nd line network support.
*Cisco experience at CCNA/CCNP level, with a solid understanding of routing and switching.
*Previous experience working with MSPs and public sector clients.
*Familiarity with HP networking equipment is highly desirable.
*Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in WAN/LAN environments.
*Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
