Job Description:
Quality Engineer | Aerospace Industry | Darwen | 4 Day Working Week (Monday - Thursday) | Up to £50,000 MERITUS Talent are working with an Industry leader in the Aerospace industry looking to grow their Quality division, they’re looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to step up into a Quality Manager role.
This exciting opportunity allows you to lead and develop quality processes for a high-performing manufacturer of advanced composite and metal components. With a focus on driving compliance, efficiency, and innovation, this role offers the chance to work at the forefront of aerospace technology while enjoying a supportive and collaborative environment.
They’re based in Darwen & operate a 4 day working week with compressed hours.
Responsibilities: *Lead and manage the quality team to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
*Develop and implement robust quality assurance processes, driving continuous improvement across all operations.
*Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle.
*Conduct supplier audits, analyse quality data, and implement corrective actions to uphold product excellence.
Key Skills: *Extensive experience in quality management within the aerospace industry, including a strong understanding of regulatory standards.
*Proven leadership abilities, with the capability to mentor teams and drive quality improvements.
*Expertise in quality management systems and methodologies, such as root cause analysis and FMEA.
*Excellent communication and analytical skills to influence stakeholders and resolve complex quality challenges.
Benefits:
