Job Description:
Stock Controller *Annual Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 DOE
*Location: S9, Sheffield
*Job Type: Full-time
Join a dynamic and professional organisation renowned for being the first choice for high strength, high performance alloys and manufactured components. We are currently seeking a Stock Controller to support our Operations team in meeting customer needs and achieving the business plan.
Day-to-day of the role: *Monitor material levels, stock inventory, and WIP value and levels diligently.
*Own the stock taking process, reporting and resolving any discrepancies.
*Work closely with the Operations Planning Manager to meet the material needs of the Production department, discussing any upcoming constraints that might affect the production plan and implementing alternative solutions to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
*Understand material delivery dates and supply chain constraints against the production plan.
*Be fully conversant with the ERP planning system and provide training for others.
*Raise sub-contract and consumable purchase orders for the Production department, liaising with suppliers and identifying any potential delivery issues.
*Report on WIP levels, subcontractor performance, and on-time delivery (OTD) data.
*Review key performance indicators and create improvement plans to enhance overall performance.
*Develop a customer-focused, proactive function within the business that supports both commercial and operational teams in achieving company goals and targets.
*Support the Operations Planning Team and undertake any reasonable tasks as required by your Line Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Experience in stock control and supply chain management.
*Familiarity with Naval supply chain in either the UK or export markets is desirable.
*Experience in selling added value products such as machined item components is advantageous.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
*Proficiency in using ERP systems and providing training to others.
