Role: Residential Maintenance Operative/Handyman
Location: London
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000
Hyperion Partners are delighted to be working with a highly regarded Student Accommodation Provider to recruit a skilled and reliable Handyman. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and dedicated professional to join a supportive team and contribute to maintaining high-quality living environments for students across London.
The Role As a Handyman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the day-to-day maintenance and repair needs of the accommodation sites are met. You will be responsible for delivering a responsive and professional service, ensuring that all maintenance issues are resolved promptly and efficiently to uphold excellent living standards for residents.
Key Responsibilities *Carry out a wide range of repairs and general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, joinery, and minor electrical work.
*Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance requests raised by residents or staff.
*Conduct routine inspections of the properties to identify and address issues proactively.
*Work closely with the on-site team to ensure all communal areas and facilities are well-maintained.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and report any hazards or concerns.
*Assist with planned maintenance and refurbishment projects as required.
*Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.
The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a versatile and dependable individual who takes pride in delivering a high standard of workmanship. The ideal candidate will have:
*Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within residential or student accommodation.
*Strong practical skills across a range of maintenance disciplines, such as plumbing, painting, decorating, and basic electrics.
*A proactive and problem-solving attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
*A good understanding of health and safety practices.
*A willingness to adapt and take on a variety of tasks as needed.
