Import Coordinator *Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

*Salary: £28,000 to £35,000

About the Role As an Import Coordinator, you will oversee the documentation and regulatory compliance of import activities. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our global logistics network.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities *Documentation Management: Prepare and organise essential import documentation to support business operations.
*Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to import regulations, trade laws, and customs requirements, supporting the import team effectively.
*Operational Support: Liaise with customs brokers, suppliers, and other external partners to streamline operations.
*Data Management: Accurately enter and maintain import data in management systems.
*Customer Support: Address inquiries related to import documentation and processes from customers and internal stakeholders.
*Cost Optimisation: Work collaboratively to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
*Additional Duties: Perform other reasonable duties as required by management.
Ideal Candidate We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with:
*Knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures, and international trade laws.
*Proficiency in import management software and tools.
*Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
*A collaborative mindset and excellent team-working capabilities.
*Desirable: 5 GCSEs including Mathematics and English Grade 4 (or equivalent), experience in Shipping/Logistics and/or Customs, and relevant certification in logistics or shipping documentation.
